Care

Allow candle to melt evenly across the diameter of the candle for each use, especially first time burning. Burning for less than 2 hours at a time may result in tunneling and uneven burn.

Trim wick to 1/4” with each and every use.

For tapers and pillars, always burn on a heat resistant plate to catch dripping wax. Never burn directly on or near flammable items such as a table cloth or napkin.

In the spirit of reimagination, each creation come packaged in sustainable, recyclable, and biodegradable materials. Is the candle 100% soy, beeswax, coconut or plant-based? Learn More

All SISTAIN Approved candles are made of 100% Soy, Beeswax or a blend of Soy and Beeswax or Coconut and Soy Wax. Avoid Paraffin Wax at all costs, it's a very common wax derived from petroleum (Target, Nordstrom and other retailers all sell candles with Paraffin). When burned, it releases harmful chemicals like benzene and toluene. Known carcinogens.

What type of fragrances are used? Learn More

All SISTAIN Approved candles are a mix of essential oil based and CleanScents+ certified fragrance oils. Avoid candles with fragrance chemicals such as phthalates, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, benzen and toluene, parabens, methylene chloride and benzaldehyde. These are all classified as probable carcinogens, endocrine disrupters and they can cause illnesses.

Are wicks lead & zinc free? 100% cotton or wood? Learn More

All SISTAIN Approved candles are 100% pure cotton wicks. Historically lead wicks were a problem, but they are now banned in the US. Today, metal-core wicks are typically made with zinc or tin. Zinc wicks do emit zinc and there is the possibility of trace amounts of other heavy metals being present. Avoid candle wicks with a metal core period.

All SISTAIN Approved candles are free of paraffin, made of 100% Soy, 100% Beeswax or a blend of 100% Soy and Beeswax or 100% Coconut and Soy Wax.
